Saat registrasi ulang BNCC, para pendaftar BNCC diarahkan untuk briefing sejenak menjadi calon aktivis. Saat itu saya disambut oleh Andrew (NB: saya belum tahu pangkatnya di BNCC) dan ia menjelaskan apa itu aktivis BNCC dan apa manfaatnya. Sejujurnya saya malas untuk mengerjakan quest-questnya. Namun, lama makin lama saya terbiasa untuk datang ke sekretariat. Saya mulai berkenalan dengan para calon aktivis, mendengarkan cerita mereka, dan saling menyebutkan alasan masing-masing ingin menjadi seorang aktivis. Disini saya dibukakan wawasan saya menjadi seorang calon aktivis. Dimana saya disuruh mengerjakan tugas yang sebenarnya berhubungan dengan kegiatan organisasi yang nyata.
Selama pencarian tanda tangan, saya selalu datang setiap harinya, kecuali hari Minggu. Pada hari kedua atau ketiga, saya mulai minder karena ada beberapa orang yang sudah mengumpulkan cukup banyak biodata atau tanda tangan. Mungkin mereka sangat ambisius menjadi seorang aktivis BNCC, atau mungkin saya sendiri yang lamban mencari tanda tangannya. Namun, saya berpikir buat apa cari tanda tangan banyak-banyak tapi tidak dinikmati prosesnya. Jadi saya memegang prinsip agar selalu mencari pengalaman sesinya, dan menjadikan tanda tangan sebagai bonusnya.

Kelas masih sunyi, karena belum banyak yang kenal satu sama dengan yang lain. Setelah briefing selesai, para buddy bergegas pulang.
Pada hari-hari berikutnya kami – para buddy, mengikuti berbagai macam sesi yang menjelaskan berbagai hal mengenai Binus, tata aturannya, dan kehidupan kuliah pada umumnya. Selain itu kita harus menghafalkan gerakan & nyanyian para Buddy Binusian 2020 yang bagi saya cukup… begitulah.
GO-pun berlangsung selama 6 hari. Saya mulai mengenal banyak orang di kelas saya. Orangnya pun juga tidak hanya dari Jakarta saja, tetapi dari seluruh Indonesia, dari Aceh, Batam, Lampung, Pontianak, dsb. Kian hari, semakin mengenal, kamipun semakin kompak. Para Buddy Coordinator-nya pun tak kalah serunya. Kami menjadi kompak dan seru.
Di akhir hari, ada sesi Kebersamaan dimana setiap kelas mempertunjukan yel-yel terbaik mereka. Kelas kami mempertunjukan kebolehan yel-yel kelas kami dengan gaya cuci baju yang sangat konyol tapi mengensankan. Selain itu agar membedakan kelas kami dengan kelas yang lain, kami juga memberikan karangan bunga dan hadiah kepada para Buddy Coordinator kami karena telah membimbing kelas kami selama GO. Selain itu juga untuk membalas jasa telah membelikan kelas kami kue ulang tahun setelah melakukan “evaluasi”.
Diakhir kata, General Orientation sangat membuka wawasan saya terhadap Binus dan mengenalkan saya kepada sistem kuliah yang tidak saya temui sebelumnya. Selain itu juga bisa berkenalan dengan orang-orang yang unik, seru, dan berambisi untuk meraih masa depan yang lebih cerah. Selain itu yang saya banggakan dari FEP, bahwa OSPEK dari Binus ini tidak menekan para calon mahasiswanya ataupun memberikan tugas yang sangat banyak. Karena saya masih melihat beberapa teman saya yang beda Universitas OSPEK-nya cukup menyita tenaga. Memang, masing-masing perguruan tinggi mempunyai nilai-nilai sendiri

Organizational Skill
Sebagai mahasiswa, kami dituntut untuk tidak sekadar pulang-pergi dari Kampus untuk kuliah saja (istilah awamnya mahasiswa kupu-kupu), tetapi juga ikut berbagai macam organisasi dan kegiatan yang berada di Kampus untuk mengembangkan soft skills dan memperbanyak portofolio yang kelak nanti berguna dalam mencari pekerjaan.
Oleh karenanya, dari sejak awal saya berminat untuk masuk organisasi-organisasi yang ada di dalam Binus. Saat Bunga Rampai, UKM-UKM di Binus saling menunjukkan kebolehannya untuk mengajak para mahasiswa baru masuk ke organisasi mereka. Saya mendapatkan pamflet dari mereka dan memikirkan organisasi apa yang patut saya ikuti.
Pada hari Sabtu Expo-pun dibuka. UKM-UKM membuka pendaftaran untuk anggota barunya. Pada hari itu saya memutuskan untuk masuk Paramabira (karena saya suka nyanyi), BNCC (karena organisasinya cukup berada di Binus), dan di waktu-waktu terakhir saya juga mendaftar HIMTI. Beberapa hari setelah Expo saya memutuskan juga untuk ikut UKM Kerohanian KMBD.
Hingga pada artikel ini dibuat, saya telah daftar ke 4 organisasi yang berada di Binus. Sungguh banyak memang. Saya tidak tahu apa nantinya saya kuat dalam mengemban tugas dari UKM-UKM tersebut, tetapi saya optimistis bahwa organisasi yang saya ikuti mampu mengembangkan kemampuan saya dalam berorganisasi dan memperluas jaringan pertemanan saya di Kampus.
Academic Orientation
Sebelum memulai semester 1, para mahasiswa baru mengikuti Academic Orientation selama 2 minggu. Pada tahap ini, mahasiswa baru dihadapkan dengan kuliah yang sesungguhnya dan diperkenalkan pelajaran-pelajaran yang akan dihadapi. Saya ikut ke dalam kelas LJ01, dimana kelas tersebut akan saya ikuti selama 1 semester kedepan.
Pada Academic Orientation kali ini, kami “disuguhi” dengan berbagai macam topik perkuliahan seperti pengenalan kurikulum Teknik Informatika, serta diberikan pelajaran seperti perkenalan Algoritma, dsb. Selain itu, kami juga belajar berbagai hal dan tips yang bisa diimplementasikan dalam kuliah sehingga mampu meraih prestasi yang memuaskan.
Kami diberi tugas seperti PKM-GT dan membuat Blog mengenai FEP, dan inilah blog yang dimaksud. Setelah Academic Orientation, kami memulai kegiatan kuliah dan siap menerjang kehidupan perkuliahan dalam 4 tahun kedepan.
HTTP (HIMTI Togetherness and Top Performance)
Setiap jurusan di Binus pasti mempunyai suatu Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan (HMJ) yang mewadahi para mahasiswanya. Demikian pula dengan Teknik Informatika, dan jurusan lainnya di bawah School of Computer Science (SoCS). HIMTI adalah HMJ bagi SoCS, dan HIMTI mengadakan acara HTTP atau HIMTI Togetherness and Top Perfomance untuk menyambut para Binusian SoCS baru.
Pada 10 September 2016, kami – para Binusian 2020 SoCS pergi ke gedung BPPT di Thamrin. Acara dimulai pada pukul 9 pagi. Di acara tersebut, kami disuguhi dengan berbagai macam atraksi dan stand seperti Showcase IT, dsb. Kami diperkenalkan para dosen dan tenaga pengajar dalam SoCS, selain itu didatangkan pula alumni dari SoCS dan menjelaskan inovasi mereka, visualisasi drama dari anggota HIMTI, dance oleh group Revolution,.dan masih banyak lagi.
Mendekati akhir acara, kamipun dilantik secara resmi sebagai mahasiswa SoCS, dan anggota HIMTI. Para Binusian 2020-pun ikut berdugem ria dengan DJ yang dibawakan oleh HIMTI. Acara berlangsung dengan riuh dan seru. Panitia dari HTTP 2015 tentu telah merencanakan acara ini dengan sedemikian rupa dan patut diacungi jempol oleh karenanya.

Epilog
Hingga saya membuat artikel ini, keberadaan saya di lingkungan Binus masihlah cukup singkat, baru 2 bulan. Tetapi sudah banyak hal-hal yang unik yang saya temui dan telah membuat teman-teman baru yang akan menemani saya dalam dunia perkuliahan. Wawasan saya mengenai Binus dan kuliah secara umum telah terbuka secara luas. Saya diperkenalkan bagaimana kuliah itu, bagaimana kita menanggapinya, serta diperkenalkan organisasi-organisasi yang mampu mengembangkan kemampuan dan potensi yang berada dalam diri kita.
Tentu, semua ini tak luput dari berbagai pihak yang telah membantu saya – mahasiswa baru, dalam menyesuaikan diri dalam kehidupan perkuliahan demi meraih prestasi yang diinginkan dan untuk meraih masa depan yang lebih baik, sesuai dengan visi dan misi yang dicitakan oleh Bina Nusantara.
